Every year children from schools from all over the UK build and race their own Electric Cars. It culminates in the Greenpower finals at Glorious Goodwood racetrack. I got access to the pit lane and the chance to talk to some of the kids about their projects. What an enthusiastic bunch they are – hopefully you’ll be driving their cars in the future.

Long time no video- but this was worth the wait! I am not a big fan of racing, but this was very fun to watch- I wish they did more things like this, here and over there, to get kids more involved in building things like this. These type of programs really encourage youths to get excited about the sciences.
The brand new Circuit of the Americas track, here is Austin, is hosting the Formula Sun Grand Prix this year, the racing of Solar-powered cars. If I can get some time next month, I will have to try and see some of it.
